Common Use Cases
- Products that are out of stock or low in inventory
- Discontinued or seasonal items you no longer want to promote
- Products that are not suitable for cross-selling (e.g. gift wrapping services)
- Products you are about to remove from your catalogue
Accessing Excluded Products
- Go to Bundle setup in the app sidebar
- Click Configure next to Excluded Products
Adding Products to the Excluded List
- On the Excluded Products page, click Add Excluded Product
- Search for the product by name
- Select the product(s) you want to exclude
- Click Add to confirm
Removing Products from the Excluded List
To allow a previously excluded product to appear in recommendations again, click the Delete icon on its row. The product becomes eligible for recommendations immediately.How Exclusions Work
Once a product is on the excluded list:- It will not appear in storewide recommendations (even if it was manually added there)
- It will not appear in random picks
- It will not appear in custom bundles as a recommended item
Excluding a product only removes it from appearing as a recommendation on other product pages. It does not hide the FBT widget on that product’s own page. To prevent the widget from appearing on a specific product page, use Hidden Recommendation Widgets instead.
If you have manually added an excluded product to a custom bundle or storewide list, removing it from the excluded list will not automatically add it back — you will need to re-add it manually.
