# Customizing the Widget
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/customization/customizing-the-widget
The widget appearance editor lets you control colors, fonts, padding, borders, buttons, and more — all with a live desktop and mobile preview so you can see exactly how changes look before saving.
The appearance editor gives you full control over how the Frequently Bought Together widget looks on your storefront — no CSS knowledge required. Every change is reflected instantly in the live preview panel before you save.
## Accessing the Appearance Editor
1. Click **Settings** in the left sidebar of the app
2. Click **Frequently Bought Together** (or the appearance card)
The editor opens with a settings panel on the left and a live preview on the right.
## Preview Modes
Use the **Desktop** and **Mobile** toggle buttons at the top of the preview panel to switch between desktop and mobile views. The preview updates immediately as you change any setting, so you can see exactly how the widget will look on different screen sizes before saving.
The preview uses sample products. Your actual storefront widget will display your real products and prices.

Click **Save** at the top of the page to apply your changes. Click **Discard** to revert to the last saved state.
Changes are saved per-shop and apply to the widget on all product pages. There is currently one appearance configuration per store.
# Global Discounts
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/discounts-analytics/global-discounts
Global Discounts apply a bundle incentive across all FBT recommendations in your store. Choose a discount type, set minimum thresholds, allow or restrict partial bundles, and customize the message customers see.
Global Discounts let you incentivise bundle purchases by automatically applying a discount when a customer adds a Frequently Bought Together bundle to their cart. Once configured, the discount applies to all bundles across your store — unless a specific product has its own per-product discount set.
## Accessing Discounts
Click **Discounts** in the left sidebar of the app.
## Enabling the Global Discount
Toggle **Global Discounts** on at the top of the page. When enabled, the discount settings below become active. Toggle it off at any time to pause discounts without losing your configuration.
## Combine With Other Discounts
Enable **Combine with other discounts** to allow the FBT bundle discount to stack with other active Shopify discounts (such as discount codes or automatic discounts). When this is off, the FBT discount cannot be combined with other promotions.
## Apply to Partial Bundles
By default, a discount only applies when a customer selects the full recommended set. Enable **Apply to Partial Bundles** to apply the discount even when the customer selects only some of the recommended products (subject to any minimum requirements you set).
Partial bundle support is useful when you want to reward customers for adding any extra product, not just the complete set.
## Discount Type
Choose one of four discount types:
### Percentage
Reduces the bundle total by a percentage of its combined price.
**Example:** Set 20% — a bundle totalling $100 becomes $80.
### Fixed Amount
Reduces the bundle total by a fixed monetary amount.
**Example:** Set $10 — a bundle totalling $100 becomes \$90.
### Cheapest Item for Free
The lowest-priced item in the bundle is given to the customer at no cost.
**Example:** In a bundle of $50, $30, and $20 items — the $20 item is free.
### Free Shipping
The bundle order qualifies for free shipping. No product price reduction is applied; the shipping cost is waived at checkout.
Free Shipping discount requires your Shopify store to have a shipping configuration that the discount function can override. If you use third-party shipping rates, test this discount type before enabling it for customers.
## Minimum Bundle Value for Discount
Set a minimum combined price the bundle must reach before the discount is applied. Leave this field empty (or set to 0) to apply the discount to all bundles regardless of price.
**Example:** Set $50 — the discount only applies when the customer's selected bundle totals $50 or more.
## Bundle Discount Percentage / Amount
Enter the discount value:
* For **Percentage** — enter a number (e.g. `20` for 20% off)
* For **Fixed Amount** — enter a monetary value (e.g. `10` for \$10 off)
* For **Cheapest Item for Free** and **Free Shipping** — no value is needed
## Minimum Recommendations Required
Set the minimum number of recommended products a customer must select (in addition to the main product) for the discount to apply. For example, set `2` to require at least 2 recommended products to be added.
## Discount Message
Enter the message shown to customers on the cart page or at checkout alongside the discount. This is your opportunity to reinforce the deal.
**Example:** `Save money buying these products together`
Keep it short and benefit-focused. The message appears as a label on the discount line in the cart.
## How Discounts Sync With Shopify
When you save your discount settings, the app automatically creates or updates an **Automatic Discount** in your Shopify admin (under **Discounts**). You do not need to create or manage this manually — the app handles it entirely.
After saving, allow a few seconds for the discount to propagate to Shopify. If you visit your Shopify Discounts page immediately, the update may not appear instantly.
# Per-Product Discounts
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/discounts-analytics/per-product-discounts
Per-product discounts let you override the global discount for a specific custom bundle. Set a unique discount type and value for any product — it takes precedence over the global discount for that product's bundle only.
Per-product discounts let you override the global discount for a specific custom bundle. This is useful when different products in your store warrant different incentives — for example, a higher-margin product might support a larger discount, while a low-margin item needs a smaller one.
Per-product discounts only work when a custom bundle exists for that product. If a product relies on storewide or random recommendations, only the global discount applies.
## Setting a Per-Product Discount
1. Go to **Custom bundles** in the app sidebar
2. Find and click the product you want to configure
3. In the bundle editor, scroll down to the **Discount** section
4. Toggle the individual discount on
5. Choose a discount type and enter the discount value
6. Optionally set a minimum bundle value and minimum recommendations required
7. Optionally customise the discount message
8. Click **Save**
The four discount types available per-product are the same as the global discount types:
* **Percentage** — e.g. 15% off
* **Fixed Amount** — e.g. \$5 off
* **Cheapest Item for Free**
* **Free Shipping**
For a detailed explanation of each type, see [Global Discounts](/discounts-analytics/global-discounts).
## Priority: Individual vs. Global
When a customer views a product that has both a global discount and an individual discount configured:
* The **individual (per-product) discount** always takes precedence
* The global discount is ignored for that product
| Product has individual discount? | Discount applied |
| -------------------------------- | ---------------------------- |
| Yes | Individual discount |
| No | Global discount (if enabled) |
| No global discount set either | No discount |
## Removing a Per-Product Discount
To revert to the global discount for a specific product:
1. Open the product in Custom bundles
2. Scroll to the Discount section
3. Toggle the individual discount off
4. Click **Save**
Once removed, the product will use the global discount (if one is active).
# Performance Analytics
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/discounts-analytics/performance-analytics
The Dashboard shows 30 days of FBT performance data — widget views, add-to-cart clicks, orders containing a bundle, and revenue generated. Analytics update daily and are visible immediately after installation.
The app's **Home** dashboard gives you a clear picture of how your Frequently Bought Together bundles are performing. No third-party analytics tool is needed — the data is tracked automatically and displayed right in your app.
## Accessing Analytics
Click **Home** (the app icon) in the left sidebar, or navigate to the app's main page. The **Performance Overview** section is displayed prominently on the dashboard.
## Metrics Explained
The dashboard shows four key metrics, each covering the **last 30 days**:
### Views
The total number of times the FBT widget was displayed on a product page. A view is counted each time a customer loads a product page where the widget appeared — regardless of whether they interacted with it.
### Add to Cart Clicks
The number of times a customer clicked the **Add Selected to Cart** button. This metric shows customer engagement and purchase intent for your bundles.
### Orders
The number of completed (paid) orders that included at least one product from a Frequently Bought Together bundle. This metric confirms actual conversions, not just intent.
### Revenue
The total revenue (net of any FBT bundle discounts) generated from orders that contained a bundle. This is the direct monetary impact of the app on your store.
## Reading the Numbers
To evaluate how well your bundles are working, look at the relationship between these metrics:
* **High Views, Low Add to Cart Clicks** — customers see the widget but aren't engaging. Consider adjusting your product pairings or enabling a discount to increase appeal.
* **High Add to Cart Clicks, Low Orders** — customers are engaging but not completing checkout. This may be a checkout or shipping issue unrelated to the FBT widget.
* **Low Views** — the widget may not be appearing on many pages. Check your recommendation settings and ensure the theme embed is enabled.
Revenue is calculated from the order line items that include FBT bundle attributes, minus any discounts applied by the FBT discount function. It reflects the real incremental value the app is contributing.
## Custom Bundles Quick Table
Below the performance metrics, the dashboard also shows a quick reference table of your recently active custom bundles — so you can quickly see which product bundles are set up without navigating to the Custom Bundles section.
## Analytics Update Frequency
Analytics data is aggregated **daily**. Events (views, add-to-cart clicks) are tracked in real time, but the dashboard totals reflect the end-of-day aggregation. Real-time reporting is not available.
If you installed the app today, you will begin to see data from tomorrow once the first daily aggregation runs. The dashboard may show zeros for the first 24 hours.
# What Is Frequently Bought Together?
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/get-started/introduction
Iconic Frequently Bought Together is a free Shopify app that displays complementary product recommendations on product pages, increases average order value with bundle discounts, and requires no coding to set up.
Iconic Frequently Bought Together is a free Shopify app that automatically displays complementary product recommendations on your product pages — just like the "Customers also bought" experience on major e-commerce sites. Shoppers can add a curated bundle of products to their cart in a single click, boosting your average order value without any friction.
## How It Works on Your Storefront
When a customer visits a product page, the Frequently Bought Together widget appears below (or near) the product details. It shows a set of recommended products alongside the main item. Customers can:
* Select or deselect individual recommendations using checkboxes
* Choose a variant for any recommended product that has variants
* See the combined total price and any applicable bundle discount
* Add all selected items to the cart at once with the **Add Selected to Cart** button
The widget automatically adapts its layout to desktop and mobile screens.
## Recommendation Types
The app offers four ways to generate product recommendations:
| Type | How It Works |
| ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Custom Bundles** | You hand-pick which products to recommend for each specific product |
| **Storewide Recommendations** | You select a set of products that appear on every product page |
| **Random Picks** | The app randomly selects products, optionally filtered by type, collection, vendor, or tag |
| **Smart Recommendations** | AI-powered suggestions based on your store's order history *(coming soon)* |
You can enable any combination of these types, and the app blends them together intelligently based on the algorithm you choose.
## Bundle Discounts
To encourage bundle purchases, you can attach a discount to any bundle. The app supports four discount types:
* **Percentage off** the bundle total (e.g. 20% off)
* **Fixed amount off** (e.g. \$10 off)
* **Cheapest item for free** — the lowest-priced item in the bundle is free
* **Free shipping** on the bundle order
Discounts can be set globally across all bundles or overridden per product. They sync automatically with Shopify's native discount system.
## Analytics
The app's dashboard tracks four key metrics over the past 30 days:
* **Views** — how many times the widget was shown
* **Add to Cart Clicks** — how many times customers clicked the bundle add-to-cart button
* **Orders** — orders that included a bundle
* **Revenue** — revenue generated from bundle purchases
## Widget Appearance
Every visual aspect of the widget is customizable — colors, fonts, image sizes, button styles, borders, spacing, and more — through the built-in appearance editor with a live preview.
## Who Is This App For?
Iconic Frequently Bought Together is built for any Shopify merchant who wants to:
* Increase average order value through product bundling
* Surface complementary or cross-sell products without manual promotions
* Offer bundle discounts without complex setup
* Keep full control over which products are recommended and how the widget looks
The app is completely free. There are no paid tiers, no usage limits, and no credit card required. See the [Pricing & Plans](/plans-billing/pricing-plans) doc for full details.

Your current plan is displayed at the top of the page along with the price (\$0 / month) and a confirmation that it is your active plan.
Shopify applies a standard transaction fee to apps that use Shopify's native Discount Functions (the mechanism this app uses to apply bundle discounts at checkout). This fee, if applicable, is charged by Shopify — not by Iconic Frequently Bought Together. Check your Shopify plan details to understand if this applies to your store.
# Creating & Managing Custom Bundles
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/recommendation-types/custom-bundles
Custom bundles let you hand-pick which products to recommend alongside each specific product. Browse your product list, open any product, add recommended products via the picker, and save — all in a few clicks.
Custom bundles give you full manual control over which products appear as recommendations for each specific product in your store. You decide the pairings — the app handles the display and discounts.
## Accessing Custom Bundles
Click **Custom bundles** in the left sidebar of the app. You will see a paginated table listing all products in your store.
## Understanding the Product Table
The table shows:
* **Product** — product thumbnail and name
* **Discount** — whether this product uses the global discount, an individual (per-product) discount, or no discount
* **Recommend product** — thumbnail previews of the recommended products already assigned to this bundle (shown as small images; a dash means no bundle has been created yet)
Use the **Search all products** bar at the top to quickly find a specific product by name.
## Creating a Custom Bundle
1. Find the product you want to create a bundle for and click its row
2. The bundle editor opens for that product
3. Click **Add products** to open the product picker
4. Search for and select the products you want to recommend alongside this product
5. Click **Add** to confirm your selection
6. The selected products appear in the recommended products list
7. Click **Save** in the save bar at the top of the page
You can add as many recommended products as you like to a custom bundle. The Recommendation Settings page controls how many are shown at once on the storefront (up to 5). Enable the Do not apply limit to manual bundles toggle in Bundle setup to show all assigned products regardless of the limit.
## Reordering Recommended Products
Drag any product in the recommended list up or down using its drag handle to change the display order. The order you set here is the order shown on the storefront (unless you have randomisation enabled).
## Removing a Product from a Bundle
Click the **Remove** (×) button next to any recommended product to remove it from the bundle. Save your changes after removing.
## Per-Product Discount
Each custom bundle can have its own discount that overrides the global discount. Scroll to the **Discount** section within the bundle editor to configure this. For full details, see [Per-Product Discounts](/discounts-analytics/per-product-discounts).
## Navigating Between Products
Use the **Previous** and **Next** buttons at the top of the bundle editor to move between products without going back to the main list. This makes it efficient to set up bundles for multiple products in sequence.
## Saving Changes
All changes require a manual save. Click **Save** in the save bar that appears at the top of the page whenever there are unsaved changes. If you navigate away without saving, a warning prompt will appear.
If you delete all recommended products from a custom bundle and save, the bundle is effectively empty. The app will fall back to other enabled recommendation types (storewide or random) for that product.
# Excluded Products
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/recommendation-types/excluded-products
Excluded Products lets you block up to 100 specific products from ever appearing as recommendations on other product pages. Useful for out-of-stock items, discontinued products, or anything you never want recommended.
The Excluded Products list lets you block specific products from ever appearing as a recommendation anywhere in your store. Any product on this list will be removed from all recommendation types — custom bundles, storewide recommendations, and random picks.
## Common Use Cases
* Products that are out of stock or low in inventory
* Discontinued or seasonal items you no longer want to promote
* Products that are not suitable for cross-selling (e.g. gift wrapping services)
* Products you are about to remove from your catalogue
## Accessing Excluded Products
1. Go to **Bundle setup** in the app sidebar
2. Click **Configure** next to *Excluded Products*
## Adding Products to the Excluded List
1. On the Excluded Products page, click **Add Excluded Product**
2. Search for the product by name
3. Select the product(s) you want to exclude
4. Click **Add** to confirm
You can add up to **100 products** to the excluded list.
## Removing Products from the Excluded List
To allow a previously excluded product to appear in recommendations again, click the **Delete** icon on its row. The product becomes eligible for recommendations immediately.
## How Exclusions Work
Once a product is on the excluded list:
* It will not appear in storewide recommendations (even if it was manually added there)
* It will not appear in random picks
* It will not appear in custom bundles as a recommended item
Excluding a product only removes it from appearing as a recommendation on other product pages. It does not hide the FBT widget on that product's own page. To prevent the widget from appearing on a specific product page, use [Hidden Recommendation Widgets](/recommendation-types/hidden-recommendation-widgets) instead.
If you have manually added an excluded product to a custom bundle or storewide list, removing it from the excluded list will not automatically add it back — you will need to re-add it manually.
# Hidden Recommendation Widgets
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/recommendation-types/hidden-recommendation-widgets
The Hidden Recommendation Widgets let you disable the FBT widget on specific product pages. Products on this list show no recommendations on their own page, yet remain recommendable on other products.
The Hidden Recommendation Widgets list lets you completely disable the Frequently Bought Together widget on specific product pages. When a product is on this list, the FBT block will not appear at all when a customer views that product — regardless of what recommendations are configured.
## Excluded Products vs. Hidden Widgets
These two features are often confused. Here is the clear distinction:
| Feature | Excluded Products | Hidden Widgets |
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------- | -------------- |
| Stops the product from appearing **as a recommendation** on other pages | ✓ | ✗ |
| Hides the FBT widget **on that product's own page** | ✗ | ✓ |
Use **Excluded Products** when you don't want a product to be recommended to anyone. Use **Hidden Widgets** when you don't want to show any recommendations *on* a specific product page.
## Common Use Cases
* Simple or low-margin products where upselling isn't relevant (e.g. accessories priced under \$5)
* Products that are very specific and don't pair well with anything in your catalogue
* Pages where you don't want to distract shoppers from the main purchase
* Products where a different upsell or cross-sell app is already used
## Accessing Hidden Widgets
1. Go to **Bundle setup** in the app sidebar
2. Click **Configure** next to *Hidden Recommendation Widgets*
## Adding Products to the Hidden List
1. On the Hidden Widgets page, click **Disable widgets**
2. Search for the product by name
3. Select the products you want to hide the widget on
4. Click **Add** to confirm
You can add up to **100 products** to the hidden widgets list.
## Removing Products from the Hidden List
To re-enable the FBT widget on a product's page, click the **Delete** icon on that product's row. The widget will begin appearing on that product page immediately.
Adding a product to the hidden list does not affect its ability to appear as a recommendation on other product pages. If you also want to prevent it from being recommended elsewhere, add it to Excluded Products separately.
# Random Picks
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/recommendation-types/random-picks
Random Picks automatically shows randomly selected products as recommendations. You can filter by product type, collection, vendor, or tag to keep suggestions relevant, or show any product from your catalogue at random.
Random Picks is a hands-off recommendation type that automatically selects products from your catalogue at random and displays them as recommendations on product pages. No manual curation is required — the app picks and rotates products dynamically on each page load.
This is a great fallback for products that don't yet have a custom bundle, or for stores with large catalogues where curating every product individually isn't practical.
## Enabling Random Picks
1. Go to **Bundle setup** in the app sidebar
2. Toggle on **Random Picks**
3. Click **Configure** next to *Random Picks*
## Filter Options
By default, Random Picks draws from your entire product catalogue. You can narrow this down by applying one of the following filters:
### Do Not Filter Random Recommendations
All active products in your store are eligible to be shown as random picks. No restrictions apply.
### Filter by Product Type
Only products that share the same **product type** as the product currently being viewed are eligible. For example, if a customer is viewing a product with the type "Skincare", only other skincare products will appear as random picks.
### Filter by Collection
Only products that belong to the same **collection** as the currently viewed product are eligible. This keeps recommendations within the same product grouping.
### Filter by Product Vendor
Only products from the same **vendor/brand** as the currently viewed product will appear. Useful if you carry multiple brands and want to keep recommendations brand-consistent.
### Filter by Product Tag
Only products that share at least one **tag** with the currently viewed product are eligible. Tags must be set on your products in Shopify admin.
## Selecting a Filter
1. On the Random Picks configuration page, choose your preferred filter option
2. Click **Save**
Only one filter type can be active at a time. To change your filter, simply select a different option and save.
If a filter is selected but the currently viewed product has no matching products (e.g. it's the only product with that type), the app falls back to unfiltered random picks to ensure the widget always has something to show.
## How Random Picks Blend With Other Types
In **Standard** algorithm mode, Random Picks fill recommendation slots that are not already occupied by custom bundle products or storewide products. The number of random picks shown is limited to the recommendation count you set in Bundle setup.
Products on the Excluded Products list will not appear as random picks, even if they match the active filter.
# Recommendation Settings

The Bundle Setup page controls your recommendation algorithm (Standard or Exclusive Manual Bundles), the number of recommendations shown (1–5), and which recommendation types — custom bundles, storewide, and random picks — are enabled.
The **Bundle setup** page is the control centre for how the app selects and displays product recommendations across your store. Access it by clicking **Bundle setup** in the left sidebar of the app.
## Recommendation Algorithm
The algorithm setting determines which products are shown when a customer views a product page.
### Standard
The app fills the recommendation slots using the best available data from all enabled recommendation types in this priority order:
1. Custom bundle for the current product (if one exists and is enabled)
2. Storewide recommendations (if enabled)
3. Random Picks (if enabled)
If a custom bundle exists for the viewed product, it takes priority. Remaining slots are filled from other enabled types.
### Exclusive Manual Bundles
The widget only appears on product pages where you have manually created a custom bundle. Products without a custom bundle will not show the FBT widget at all.
Use Exclusive Manual Bundles if you want tight control — you decide exactly which product combinations are shown, and nothing appears automatically.
## Number of Recommendations
The **Number of recommendations** slider controls how many recommended products appear alongside the main product (minimum 1, maximum 5).
**Do not apply limit to manual bundles** — Enable this toggle to let custom bundles show all their assigned products regardless of the number limit. The limit still applies to storewide and random recommendations.
## Types of Recommendations
Each recommendation type can be toggled on or off independently. You must have at least one type enabled for the widget to show recommendations.
| Type | Description | Configure |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Custom bundles** | Per-product manually curated recommendations | [Creating & Managing Custom Bundles](/recommendation-types/custom-bundles) |
| **Storewide recommendations** | Fixed set of products shown on all product pages | [Storewide Recommendations](/recommendation-types/storewide-recommendations) |
| **Random Picks** | Dynamically selected products, optionally filtered | [Random Picks](/recommendation-types/random-picks) |
| **Smart Recommendations** | AI-powered suggestions from order history | *Coming soon* |
Smart Recommendations is currently greyed out and not yet available. It will be enabled in a future update.
Each type has a **Configure** button that opens its dedicated settings page.
## Saving Your Settings
Click **Save** after making any changes. Changes take effect on your storefront immediately after saving.
# Storewide Recommendations
Source: https://frequently-bought-docs.geticonicapps.com/recommendation-types/storewide-recommendations
Storewide recommendations let you select up to 100 products that appear as recommendations on every product page. Add products, drag to reorder, and optionally randomize the display order on the storefront.
Storewide recommendations let you define a fixed list of products that will appear as recommendations on every product page in your store — without needing to set up individual bundles for each product.
This is ideal for:
* New arrivals you want to promote store-wide
* Best-sellers that complement most products
* Products from a key collection you want to cross-sell everywhere
## Accessing Storewide Recommendations
1. Go to **Bundle setup** in the app sidebar
2. Make sure **Storewide recommendations** are toggled on
3. Click **Configure** next to *Storewide recommendations*
## Adding Products
1. On the Storewide Recommendations page, click **Add products**
2. Use the search bar to find products by name
3. Select the products you want to include
4. Click **Add** to confirm
You can add up to **100 products** to the storewide recommendations list.
## Reordering Products
Drag any product row up or down using the drag handle on the left side of the row to reorder the list. The order you set here determines the default display order on the storefront.
## Randomise Storefront Order
Enable the **Randomise storefront order** toggle if you want the app to shuffle the order of recommended products on each page load. This is useful for giving equal exposure to all products on the list rather than always showing the same ones first.
If the number of storewide products exceeds the recommendation count set in Bundle setup, the app will display only as many products as allowed. Enabling randomisation ensures different products appear on each visit.
## Removing Products
To remove a product from the storewide list, click the **Delete** (trash) icon on its row. The product is removed immediately from the list (save is not required for removals, but confirm any unsaved additions first).
## Priority and Blending
Storewide recommendations fill recommendation slots when a product does not have a custom bundle (or when custom bundles are disabled). In **Standard** algorithm mode:
1. Custom bundle products are shown first (if available)
2. Remaining slots are filled with storewide products
3. Any remaining empty slots are filled with Random Picks (if enabled)
Products on the Excluded Products list will not appear in storewide recommendations, even if you have added them here.
# Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Iconic Frequently Bought Together app covering theme compatibility, privacy and data handling, variant support, Shopify Markets, development stores, and how to contact the support team.
## Compatibility
**Does the app work with all Shopify themes?** The app uses Shopify's Theme App Embed system, which is supported by all Online Store 2.0 themes. Most older (legacy) themes also support app embeds. You activate the widget with a single toggle in the Shopify theme editor — no code changes required. If you experience any issues with your theme, contact support at [support@geticonicapps.com](mailto:support@geticonicapps.com).
**Does the app support Online Store 2.0 themes?** Yes. Iconic Frequently Bought Together is built specifically for Online Store 2.0 and uses the Theme App Embed Block system. It is fully compatible with Dawn, Sense, Craft, and all other OS 2.0 themes from the Shopify Theme Store.
**Does the app support Shopify Markets (multi-currency, multi-language)?** The widget respects the currency and pricing displayed by Shopify Markets. Prices shown in the bundle widget reflect the customer's local currency as set by your Markets configuration. Multi-language support depends on the languages your theme supports — the widget heading, subheading, and button labels can be customised per store in the appearance settings.
**Does the app work with third-party review apps like Loox?** Yes. The widget can display product ratings and review counts from Shopify's native product reviews app and from Loox. Ratings are shown as star icons alongside each product in the bundle. If you use a different reviews app, contact support to check compatibility.

## Privacy & Data
**Is the app GDPR compliant?** Yes. Iconic Frequently Bought Together is fully GDPR compliant. The app supports all required Shopify GDPR webhooks: customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure on uninstall. No personal customer data is stored beyond what Shopify requires for the app to function.
**What data does the app collect?** The app stores:
* Store configuration and settings (recommendation algorithm, discount settings, appearance settings)
* Product data (titles, prices, images, variants — cached for fast storefront loading)
* Aggregate analytics (daily counts of widget views, add-to-cart clicks, orders, and revenue — no individual customer data)
* Bundle and recommendation assignments you configure in the admin
No personally identifiable customer information (names, emails, addresses) is stored by the app.
**What happens to my store data if I uninstall the app?** When you uninstall the app, all your store data — including bundle configurations, appearance settings, and analytics — is permanently deleted from the app's database. Product cache and metafields are also cleaned up. This process is automatic and cannot be reversed, so export any data you need before uninstalling.

## General
**Can I use the app on a development or test store?** Yes. The app can be installed on Shopify development and partner stores for testing purposes. All features are available on development stores at no charge.
**Does the app support product variants?** Yes. The storefront widget displays a variant selector (dropdown) for any recommended product that has multiple variants. Customers can choose their preferred variant before adding the bundle to the cart. Variant-level inventory is also respected — out-of-stock variants are not available for selection.
**How do I contact support?** You can reach the support team through two channels:
* **Email:** [support@geticonicapps.com](mailto:support@geticonicapps.com)
* **Shopify App Store:** Visit the app's listing page in the Shopify App Store and use the support tab to submit a request
Support is available for all merchants on the Free plan, as priority support is included at no extra cost.
**Where can I report a bug or request a feature?** Send bug reports and feature requests to [support@geticonicapps.com](mailto:support@geticonicapps.com) with a clear description of the issue or idea. For bugs, include your store URL, the product page URL where the issue occurs, and a screenshot if possible. Feature requests are reviewed by the product team and considered for future updates.
