Global Discounts
Global Discounts let you incentivise bundle purchases by automatically applying a discount when a customer adds a Frequently Bought Together bundle to their cart. Once configured, the discount applies to all bundles across your store — unless a specific product has its own per-product discount set.
Accessing Discounts
Click Discounts in the left sidebar of the app.
Enabling the Global Discount
Toggle Global Discounts on at the top of the page. When enabled, the discount settings below become active. Toggle it off at any time to pause discounts without losing your configuration.
Combine With Other Discounts
Enable Combine with other discounts to allow the FBT bundle discount to stack with other active Shopify discounts (such as discount codes or automatic discounts). When this is off, the FBT discount cannot be combined with other promotions.
Apply to Partial Bundles
By default, a discount only applies when a customer selects the full recommended set. Enable Apply to Partial Bundles to apply the discount even when the customer selects only some of the recommended products (subject to any minimum requirements you set).
Partial bundle support is useful when you want to reward customers for adding any extra product, not just the complete set.
Discount Type
Choose one of four discount types:
Percentage
Reduces the bundle total by a percentage of its combined price.
Example: Set 20% — a bundle totalling $100 becomes $80.
Fixed Amount
Reduces the bundle total by a fixed monetary amount.
Example: Set $10 — a bundle totalling $100 becomes $90.
Cheapest Item for Free
The lowest-priced item in the bundle is given to the customer at no cost.
Example: In a bundle of $50, $30, and $20 items — the $20 item is free.
Free Shipping
The bundle order qualifies for free shipping. No product price reduction is applied; the shipping cost is waived at checkout.
Free Shipping discount requires your Shopify store to have a shipping configuration that the discount function can override. If you use third-party shipping rates, test this discount type before enabling it for customers.
Minimum Bundle Value for Discount
Set a minimum combined price the bundle must reach before the discount is applied. Leave this field empty (or set to 0) to apply the discount to all bundles regardless of price.
Example: Set $50 — the discount only applies when the customer's selected bundle totals $50 or more.
Bundle Discount Percentage / Amount
Enter the discount value:
For Percentage — enter a number (e.g.
20for 20% off)For Fixed Amount — enter a monetary value (e.g.
10for $10 off)For Cheapest Item for Free and Free Shipping — no value is needed
Minimum Recommendations Required
Set the minimum number of recommended products a customer must select (in addition to the main product) for the discount to apply. For example, set 2 to require at least 2 recommended products to be added.
Discount Message
Enter the message shown to customers on the cart page or at checkout alongside the discount. This is your opportunity to reinforce the deal.
Example: Save money buying these products together
Keep it short and benefit-focused. The message appears as a label on the discount line in the cart.
How Discounts Sync With Shopify
When you save your discount settings, the app automatically creates or updates an Automatic Discount in your Shopify admin (under Discounts). You do not need to create or manage this manually — the app handles it entirely.
After saving, allow a few seconds for the discount to propagate to Shopify. If you visit your Shopify Discounts page immediately, the update may not appear instantly.
