# What Is Frequently Bought Together?

Iconic Frequently Bought Together is a free Shopify app that automatically displays complementary product recommendations on your product pages — just like the "Customers also bought" experience on major e-commerce sites. Shoppers can add a curated bundle of products to their cart in a single click, boosting your average order value without any friction.

## How It Works on Your Storefront

When a customer visits a product page, the Frequently Bought Together widget appears below (or near) the product details. It shows a set of recommended products alongside the main item. Customers can:

* Select or deselect individual recommendations using checkboxes
* Choose a variant for any recommended product that has variants
* See the combined total price and any applicable bundle discount
* Add all selected items to the cart at once with the **Add Selected to Cart** button

The widget automatically adapts its layout to desktop and mobile screens.

## Recommendation Types

The app offers four ways to generate product recommendations:

You can enable any combination of these types, and the app blends them together intelligently based on the algorithm you choose.

## Bundle Discounts

To encourage bundle purchases, you can attach a discount to any bundle. The app supports four discount types:

* **Percentage off** the bundle total (e.g. 20% off)
* **Fixed amount off** (e.g. \$10 off)
* **Cheapest item for free** — the lowest-priced item in the bundle is free
* **Free shipping** on the bundle order

Discounts can be set globally across all bundles or overridden per product. They sync automatically with Shopify's native discount system.

## Analytics

The app's dashboard tracks four key metrics over the past 30 days:

* **Views** — how many times the widget was shown
* **Add to Cart Clicks** — how many times customers clicked the bundle add-to-cart button
* **Orders** — orders that included a bundle
* **Revenue** — revenue generated from bundle purchases

## Widget Appearance

Every visual aspect of the widget is customizable — colors, fonts, image sizes, button styles, borders, spacing, and more — through the built-in appearance editor with a live preview.
