Compatibility
Does the app work with all Shopify themes? The app uses Shopify's Theme App Embed system, which is supported by all Online Store 2.0 themes. Most older (legacy) themes also support app embeds. You activate the widget with a single toggle in the Shopify theme editor — no code changes required. If you experience any issues with your theme, contact support at [email protected].
Does the app support Online Store 2.0 themes? Yes. Iconic Frequently Bought Together is built specifically for Online Store 2.0 and uses the Theme App Embed Block system. It is fully compatible with Dawn, Sense, Craft, and all other OS 2.0 themes from the Shopify Theme Store.
Does the app support Shopify Markets (multi-currency, multi-language)? The widget respects the currency and pricing displayed by Shopify Markets. Prices shown in the bundle widget reflect the customer's local currency as set by your Markets configuration. Multi-language support depends on the languages your theme supports — the widget heading, subheading, and button labels can be customised per store in the appearance settings.
Does the app work with third-party review apps like Loox? Yes. The widget can display product ratings and review counts from Shopify's native product reviews app and from Loox. Ratings are shown as star icons alongside each product in the bundle. If you use a different reviews app, contact support to check compatibility.
Privacy & Data
Is the app GDPR compliant? Yes. Iconic Frequently Bought Together is fully GDPR compliant. The app supports all required Shopify GDPR webhooks: customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure on uninstall. No personal customer data is stored beyond what Shopify requires for the app to function.
What data does the app collect? The app stores:
Store configuration and settings (recommendation algorithm, discount settings, appearance settings)
Product data (titles, prices, images, variants — cached for fast storefront loading)
Aggregate analytics (daily counts of widget views, add-to-cart clicks, orders, and revenue — no individual customer data)
Bundle and recommendation assignments you configure in the admin
No personally identifiable customer information (names, emails, addresses) is stored by the app.
What happens to my store data if I uninstall the app? When you uninstall the app, all your store data — including bundle configurations, appearance settings, and analytics — is permanently deleted from the app's database. Product cache and metafields are also cleaned up. This process is automatic and cannot be reversed, so export any data you need before uninstalling.
General
Can I use the app on a development or test store? Yes. The app can be installed on Shopify development and partner stores for testing purposes. All features are available on development stores at no charge.
Does the app support product variants? Yes. The storefront widget displays a variant selector (dropdown) for any recommended product that has multiple variants. Customers can choose their preferred variant before adding the bundle to the cart. Variant-level inventory is also respected — out-of-stock variants are not available for selection.

Where can I report a bug or request a feature? Send bug reports and feature requests to [email protected] with a clear description of the issue or idea. For bugs, include your store URL, the product page URL where the issue occurs, and a screenshot if possible. Feature requests are reviewed by the product team and considered for future updates.
